Leviticus 6:16 NLT
“Aaron and his sons may eat the rest of the flour, but it must be baked without yeast and eaten in a sacred place within the courtyard of the Tabernacle.”
The rest of the flour
One thing God gives to anyone working and walking with Him is dignity. In other words, working for or walking with God does not make one’s self-worth or esteem disappear. It does not mean that one would become robotic. For instance, the priests were allowed to wear regular clothes. In fact, they wore regular clothes more than their official linen garments and undergarments. Also, today’s referenced scripture reveals that God instructed Aaron and his sons to eat the rest of the flour provided it was baked without yeast and consumed within the courtyard of the Tabernacle. So, they may choose not to eat, and it would not amount to any violation of the Lord’s command. If they decide to eat it, the Lord commanded that Aaron and his sons eat it in His presence. Please note that eating the baked flour in the courtyard of the Tabernacle did not make it unclean! At least God didn’t say that, as He had given them the order to do so. And this was a reminder that the Lord is the Provider. Friends, remember that God provides all you have and will have.
Prayer
Our heavenly Father, I thank You for being my Provider; may Your name be praised forever. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
