Leviticus 5:18 NLT
“For a guilt offering, you must bring to the priest your own ram with no defects, or you may buy one of equal value. Through this process the priest will purify you from your unintentional sin, making you right with the Lord, and you will be forgiven.”

Right with the Lord
One can only imagine the kind of fret people had under the law. As stated in today’s referenced scripture, an offender had two choices to make themselves right with the Lord, and none was a no-brainer. It is either the offender brings a ram, which could not be any ram, but it must be his and a ram with no defects. Another issue that the offender faced was knowing a ram without flaws. Often, for fear of rejection, offenders approached priests with money to purchase the sacrificial animal. Given that people’s economic endowment has never been the same, it is likely that the procedure made an offender with limited income become poorer. Lastly, it wasn’t one ram with no defects for all unintentionally committed sins; instead, it was one per unintentionally committed sin. Without a doubt, righting one’s wrong was burdensome under the law. However, the death, resurrection, and ascension of Christ Jesus changed everything, and now all that is needed to become right with God is to believe in the Only Begotten Son. Friends, if you are yet to do so, please consider giving your life to Him.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, the cost of sin no man pay; therefore, I humbly accept the price paid by Jesus on the cross at cavalry for my sin. Amen.
