Leviticus 5:12 NLT
“Take the flour to the priest, who will scoop out a handful as a representative portion. He will burn it on the altar on top of the special gifts presented to the Lord. It is an offering for sin.”
Take it to the priest
What a privilege we have in Jesus! Through Him, you and I have been made royal priests, meaning each can approach God without any human intermediary. Although the priests were supposed to be men of reputation but that didn’t mean their human nature was nonexistent. In other words, they had records of everyone, but through Jesus, our records of sin do not have to be reported to any man before receiving forgiveness from God. Under the law, no offeror was at ease until the priest burned a representative choice flour on the altar. But today, all that we need to access in other for our sins to be forgiven is to genuinely go through Jesus because His death, resurrection and ascension have paid it all. Jesus is our High Priest.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, You are great and will forever be great. Thank You for making way for all humanity to be saved through Your precious Son. May Your name be praised. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
