Leviticus 4:8-9 NLT
“Then the priest must remove all the fat of the bull to be offered as a sin offering. This includes all the fat around the internal organs, “the two kidneys and the fat around them near the loins, and the long lobe of the liver. He must remove these along with the kidneys,”
Whose responsibility?
Everyone desires good status, and the same applies to followers of Christ. However, in our bid for good standing or when we attain it, we must ensure that it does not hinder us from doing God’s will. Although the high priest was the head of all priests, he could not delegate any exercise involving the atonement of his accidental sin to anyone. Today’s referenced scripture revealed that God demanded that he shouldered all the responsibilities of removing all the fat and prescribed parts by himself. Whether the exercise is tedious or not, he must do it. Doing everything himself indicated humility and that he was not too big to ask God for forgiveness. Dear friends, irrespective of our status, we must never be too big to apologize to God and humans for any intentional or unintentional wrongs committed.

Dear Lord, please help me not to be full of myself when I err. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
