Exodus 40:17 NLT
“So the Tabernacle was set up on the first day of the first month of the second year.”
The first day of the first month
A few days ago, God granted us the grace to crossover to the year 2023. And asides from that, it turned out to be a Sunday (which necessitated worship service); you probably used the rest of the day for felicitating with one another. Imagine someone bringing out tools for major work on such a day. Without a doubt, people would have advised such a person to rest on that day, and whoever authorizes the job will equally understand. We know that the day didn’t fall on a Sabbath; hence Moses had no excuse but to attend to the task the day God wanted it done. And that shows total obedience on Moses’s part. Moses loved and respected God so much that there was nothing too much that he couldn’t do for the Maker of Heaven and earth. Remember that setting up the Tabernacle will ensure that Aaron and his sons could earnestly begin their ministerial work so the Israelites could experience the presence of God. If Moses had delayed, the start time for the abovementioned activities might have been negatively impacted. Therefore, friend, attend to your assignment according to God’s timeline and not yours.
Prayer
God of heaven and earth, I want to be up and doing at all times in every task You assign me. So help me, God. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
