Exodus 40:7 NLT
“Set the washbasin between the Tabernacle and the altar, and fill it with water.”
Fill it with water
In today’s referenced scripture, Moses received two instructions. The first was about the appropriate position for the washbasin. The second centered on what must be in the washbasin and the extent to which it must occupy it. Since God did not instruct Moses to assign anyone to carry out the tasks, one can expect that he did it. He set up the washbasin position and filled it with water. No one knows whether there was a well or river within walking distance, yet he wasn’t embarrassed to do it for God’s glory. Friend, are you ashamed to carry out some kingdom tasks? Whatever tasks God assigns, please do not consider them below your church rank or anointing; learn to do them diligently and joyfully.
Prayer
Merciful Father, please give me the strength to do whatever assigned tasks. Help me to remember that all assignments dutifully carried out in Your kingdom have eternal value. In Jesus’s name, amen.
