Exodus 40:3 NLT
“Place the Ark of the Covenant inside, and install the inner curtain to enclose the Ark within the Most Holy Place.”
Serving with diligence
One thing stands out in today’s referenced scripture. The message in parentheses suggests that Moses retained the originality of the instruction. He wouldn’t have done so if he didn’t truly love God, and posterity was in him. Note that the Tabernacle was not a permanent structure. Having the information regarding precedence relationships in black and white helped the Israelites, or those saddled with the setting up of the Tabernacle, to know how to go about it. Unlike what had occurred at the construction sites of skyscrapers, where enclosure comes first before the work begins, the Ark of Covenant goes in first before the inner curtain is erected. In other words, there was no peek-a-boo moment, for everyone knew what was enclosed by the inner curtain. So, what’s the lesson? Each of us, in our different capacities, must serve as the retainer of unadulterated truth and convey it unequivocally so that the unborn generation can learn through it.
Prayer
Merciful Father, please help me so I may serve You with all diligence. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
