Exodus 40:10 NLT
“Anoint the altar of burnt offering and its utensils to consecrate them. Then the altar will become absolutely holy.”

One of the stationery retail outlets in North America sells unique buttons that, when pressed, say, “that’s easy.” One thing about God’s instructions is that they are easy to follow and bring joy to the heart. For instance, when the two disciples went to untie the colt, they only stated the lines that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, had asked them to use, and it brought them joy. They didn’t do any spiritual gymnastics. And with regards to the consecration of the altar of burnt offering, Moses engaged in no spiritual gymnastics. All he did was to anoint, and God made the altar absolutely holy. Our holiness is not based on human strength but on God’s. Therefore, friends, let’s not alter His instructions.
Prayer
Most High God, I humbly bow before You; please help me not to go against Your instructions. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
