Exodus 39:41 NLT
“the beautifully stitched garments for the priests to wear while ministering in the Holy Place—the sacred garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments for his sons to wear as they minister as priests.”
Beautifully stitched garments
A Yoruba adage says: “Only a scorner condescends on the hugeness of an elephant,” which implies that it is indecent for anyone to pretend not to notice something good or wash down something good. Moses appreciated and acknowledged the beauty of the garments made for Aaron and his sons even though there was no instruction for a garment for him. Moses’s remarks on the garments indicated that he was not jealous; rather, he was happy for Aaron and his sons. Dear friends, are you happy with the success and achievements of others or when they have acquired something new or beautiful? Or do you question why it is them and not you? In addition, the referenced scripture reveals that these garments were not for everyday use but only while ministering in the Holy Place. In other words, the beautifully stitched attires were not for show off or self-aggrandizement; instead, they were for worship. Therefore friends, don’t use God’s blessings as a show off but to the glory of His name.
Prayer
Almighty Creator, let Your name be blessed through whatever You have given me. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
