Exodus 39:26 NLT
“with bells and pomegranates alternating all around the hem. This robe was to be worn whenever the priest ministered before the Lord, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.”
Not an everyday attire
There is the possibility of having a misconception about working for God. Some people think that working for God is burdensome. However, such is not the case. In Matthew 18, Jesus says my burden is light. Today’s reference scripture also indicates that God never burdens His workers. So, what is the evidence? Undoubtedly, the garments were magnificent, yet the priests were not restricted to them in everyday life. The priests were only required to wear them whenever they ministered before the Lord. They cannot wear the garments when they feel like it but only according to the instructions that the Lord commanded Moses. Imagine they were allowed to wear the garment every day and everywhere; such can create room for undue influence. Friend, do not use the privileges associated with your office to curry undue influence on others.
Prayer
My Father and my God, help me to abide by Your precepts alone. In Jesus’s name, amen.
