Exodus 39:11 – 13 NLT
“The second row contained a turquoise, a blue lapis lazuli, and a white moonstone. “The third row contained an orange jacinth, an agate, and a purple amethyst. The fourth row contained a blue-green beryl, an onyx, and a green jasper. All these stones were set in gold filigree.”
All the rows
Like every aspect of the Tabernacle project, the chest piece was a masterpiece. The scripture noted that Bezalel made it with great skill and care. However, a careful examination revealed another interesting feature. It had twelve different gemstones. As expected, each of these gemstones has unique physical attributes, yet all of them were fitted into the chest piece. God made it known that these 12 gemstones represent the tribes of Israel. One could interpret the differences in the physical attributes of these gemstones to mean that the twelve tribes were intrinsically different. Yet, they were still precious to God and, above all, lived harmoniously. Friends, you are a treasure to God just as your neighbor is; therefore, let’s learn to live peaceably.
Prayer
My Father and my God, I choose to live according to Your will. In Jesus’s name, amen.
