Exodus 39:7 NLT
“He fastened these stones on the shoulder-pieces of the ephod as a reminder that the priest represents the people of Israel. All this was done just as the Lord had commanded Moses.”
The priest represents
In the old testament, there could be several prophets at a time, but there was only one priest at a time. The priest’s responsibility was not to his household but to the entire house of Israel. And he carried the weight of all the Israelites on himself, but the truth is that no human can effectively do or achieve it. Hence the reason Jesus came to die on our behalf – He successfully bore and achieved everything on the world’s behalf! The scripture states that we have a high priest in the person of Jesus, and He represents us all the time before the Father of Light, with whom there is no shifting or shadow of turning. From another angle, everyone who professes Jesus as the Lord belongs to the royal priesthood. By extension, we are supposed to represent the body of Christ. Dear brethren, do you represent the body of Christ well, or are you tearing it apart? If your actions align with the latter, please repent so that the time of refreshing from God might come to you and your household.

My Father and my God, please help never to negate Your will or do anything outside of Your instruction. In Jesus’s name, amen.
