Exodus 39:9 NLT
“He made the chestpiece of a single piece of cloth folded to form a pouch nine inches square.”
‭‭
Bezalel made it
Every instruction about the Tabernacle project pointed to Jesus, the Only Begotten Son of God. Hence, the saying “the old testament is new testament conceived, and the new testament is the old testament revealed” is insightful. No doubt the chestpiece, as well as other garments, were masterpieces and beautiful. As beautiful as these garments were, they represented something to the priests that wore them. They were symbols of service unto God and man. Friends, it is a misnomer to aim at replicating the garment; instead, the focus should be on what it means, which once again is service. Lastly, the scripture noted that Bezalel made the item. In other words, he did it from scratch to finish without any hassle. He didn’t outsource any of the activities, regardless of the number of tasks or how difficult or straightforward they were. Imagine that someone else made it, but his name was mentioned as the maker; it wouldn’t have augured well.

Prayer
My Father and my God, please help me to do Your assignment conscientiously. In Jesus’s name, amen.
